International Business Development Case Study |

Peter George serving as Interim International Business Development Director. The Venture Capitalist firm behind this Atlanta, Georgia based start-up were looking for representation in Europe, particularly as many of their potential strategic partners were based in this territory. I was retained as a Director of the company and performed the International Business Development role and successfully established a Technology Partnership with a major mobile platform vendor, several device manufacturers and two major cellular network providers. I also advised on the company's product strategy and helped the CTO and his team to identify new opportunities for the product. Within 3 months of initial contact, I had also secured an agreement to have the software client on the firmware of a new communicating PDA from a major computing manufacturer, as well as establishing business development relationships with key mobile equipment suppliers in Europe. Initially a 6 month contract, the assignment was renewed ahead of term for a further 12 months. The business has since been acquired by Sybase Inc.
