Sometimes when you are running a business at full speed, you know at the back of your mind that there are things you would pay more attention to if you had the time. You may sense that some of your key workers seem to be less enthusiastic, or that the sales funnel is erratic, or that certain costs seem to be spiralling up. There are many things that come to a business leader’s mind, but when there are a number of other urgent and important issues that must be attended to they simply hang as a cloud in the background.
Some of these things are trivial and would rightly demand little time. However some are not and may become tomorrow’s priorities having gotten to the point where they have become the big issues.
We provide a service to business leaders that is instrumental in enabling them to clearly see existing and potential problems, and define how to deal with them at the early stage. We do this in a way that minimises the time the executive needs to divert attention away from the urgent and important ‘to do’ list.
What you get
This is a tailored service. The first step is to take a brief from the executive client, and is usually done in a meeting of around two hours. The aim of the meeting is to create a clear picture and sense of where to focus our attention. The meeting enables us to design our process for collecting and analysing data.
The next step is to conduct the analysis which will involve speaking with people both inside, and where the issue requires it , outside the enterprise. This is done in conjunction with someone, maybe a PA, within the company to facilitate the smooth organisation of meetings and materials from which the data will be drawn.
Once the data is collected, we synthesise it and make sense of it. We give the client all the data with a report that sets out our conclusions and an action plan that we recommend. We present this to the client personally and will discuss the details of what we are advocating and why.
At this point the client has choices. Where appropriate we can take a further brief to implement the action plan, or the client may choose to have it executed by others of her or his choosing.
