Andrew Carr is the Director and founder of Andrew Carr Associates Ltd, a company set up to assist companies in the Pharmaceutical industry. Andrew has 13 years of practical experience in the industry. In this time he has successfully lead and managed many financial and non-financial change management projects, motivating and leading staff and teams at all levels in organisations.
Recently he has lead and completed the implementation of a direct to pharmacy scheme for AstraZeneca as Supply Chain Director which has lead to benefits being accrued to the company. This project involved high levels of decision making and problem solving.
He has been very closely involved with the development and compliance with the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) and has been the principal negotiator for AstraZeneca with the Department of Health for the last 10 years as well as advising the company on all compliance matters relating to the scheme.
He is also a chartered accountant and has held senior finance positions as well as leading large change projects such as Sarbannes Oxley, outsourcing to shared service centres, SAP implementations and Chart of accounts harmonisation projects.
