Bob is a marketing and sales specialist with experience at all levels (sales person through to Managing Director) of businesses across a wide range of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) categories and international markets. Bob's experience spans health and personal products in Europe and the Middle East with Glaxo, Johnson & Johnson and London International Group with leading brands such as Johnson's Baby, Durex, Marigold, Farley's and Wilkinson Sword. He has specialist knowledge of brand and trade channel development, consumer communications strategies and international distributor operations as well as general experience of team leadership, business finance and growth through mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Bob also has business-to-business experience through running the UK's largest paper merchant and has an additional interest in alternative dispute resolution as a qualified commercial mediator.

Bob Shire has been involved in the Today's Womencare Company January 2001 to present

Today's Womencare is a subsidiary of any early stage US-based healthcare company, Allendale Pharmaceuticals Inc. Today's Womencare is a supplier of innovative products for women under the Today(r) brand, specializing in reproductive healthcare. Hired initially on a consultancy basis Bob subsequently has become a partner of Allendale's two founders as well as a shareholder. On this basis he has set up Today's Womencare UK and from this base has taken responsibility for developing Allendale's European business. The initial product launches are planned for 2006.

Achievements:
  • Worked closely with Allendale's US founders on the development of business strategy for Europe
  • Set up Today's Womencare UK and all the administrative arrangement to run this company

Bob Shire was recruited on a consultancy basis to help re-launch Condomi's UK business March 2001 - December 2002
Condomi Health was a Germany-based company, Europe's leading manufacturer of condoms and other products. Its UK company, which had been established two years earlier, was failing to achieve its sales objectives whilst administrative costs were rising out of control. Bob was given the assignment to restructure its UK company and re-launch its product range.

Achievements:
  • Recruited and trained a new Product Management and Customer Services team.
  • Lead the re-launch of the Condomi brand in the UK.
  • Established new distribution in the chemist and vending channels.
  • Relocated the company to more cost-effective facilities.
  • Out-sourced the logistics function at greatly reduced complexity and cost.
  • Helped recruit a Managing Director for Condomi's UK business.
